The breathtaking Hajar mountain range includes the Jebel Jais summit. The mountain stretches from the Musandam Peninsula in northeastern Oman to Ras Al Khaimah on the eastern border of the UAE. The origin of the region and this monument’s history was several years ago. Over 70 million years ago, a continental collide is thought to have occurred close to the Arabian-Eurasian subduction zone, creating the Hajar mountains.

It is the tallest mountain peak in the area and spans both countries with a breadth and length of 100 and 700 kilometres, respectively. Ras Al Khaimah’s Jebel Jais mountain top rises 1,934 meters above sea level.

The climate above is relatively colder than the ground, naturally. It’s highly advised to wear suitable clothing when hiking towards the peak. There are reports of temperatures at the high tops falling to 23 degrees Fahrenheit (- 5 degrees Celsius). The locals have flocked outside in their hordes for snowball battles and snowman competitions due to the blizzards.

Jebel Jais is home to the best adrenaline-packed activities in UAE. It has two important spots to visit to seek adventure. They are Jais Adventure park and Jais Sky Maize. You may enjoy this park’s hanging obstacle course and other ziplines. The longest zipline measures up to 2,83 km.

A 10-metre-high obstacle course with shaky bridges, rope swings, and swinging loops is part of the Jais Sky Maze. On the other hand, Jais Sky Tour is a system of seven ziplines and nine decks.

One of the best camping locations in the UAE is Jebel Jais. There are many spots along the mountain trail that are excellent for erecting a tent and a grill. A lot of campers stay overnight to see the sun rise over the rocky peak.
