The Rain/Flood Emergency 2022 report upto October 06, 2022 has been issued by the Deputy Commissioner Larkana, in which the details of relief activities for rain/flood victims have been released, here Friday.

According to the report, there are currently 53 relief camps in Larkana district, out of which 25 are in Larkana Taluka, 14 in Ratodero Taluka, 14 camps in Bakrani Tehsil, 1040 relief camps in Larkana taluka, 528 in Ratodero taluka and 992 in Bakrani tehsil relief camps. Earlier, 1354 camps were established in the district in which 146095 people were accommodated.

9910 people from 335 families are living in relief camps.  While 2765 people from 344 families are living in the tent city established in Larkana.

A total of 226,980 houses were destroyed in the heavy rains, of which, 144,470 houses were partially damaged, while 82,510 houses were completely destroyed in Larkana tehsil, 63221 houses were partially affected, while 29453 houses were completely destroyed.

Apart from this, arrangements have been made to treat post-rainfall diseases, a total of 100,911 people have been treated so far in hospitals run by the DHO office Larkana and 146,118 people were provided medical aid in PPHI centres.

A total of 5758 people were given medical assistance during the last 24 hours. Apart from this, 247029 people were treated in medical camps, while mobile and fixed camps have also been set up by the health department Larkana and PPHI Larkana to provide medical assistance to the affected people.

People are being treated in 48 centers and 43 ambulances are also available. According to the report, 2522 animals have also died during the diseases caused after the rains, while 247818 sick cattle have been vaccinated through 4 hospitals and 9 mobile vans of the Livestock Department.

Benazir Income Support Program(BISP) continues to provide assistance to rain/flood affected families in which 1 billion 21 crore 09 lakh 75 thousand rupees have been distributed to 48350 Women of the rain/flood affected areas. So far 283657 tents, tarpaulins, ration bags and mosquito nets have been distributed by the district administration in the District.

According to the report, PDMA has provided 42,059 tents, 53,275 tarpaulins, 71,144 ration bags, 110,400 mosquito nets and 29 de-watering machines to the district administration Larkana. While NDMA gave 500 tents, 1000 tarpaulins and 1000 ration bags. While 2250 tents were received from other organizations and 2000 ration bags were purchased and distributed by the district administration Larkana.

Similarly, 44,809 tents, 54,275 tarpaulins, 74,144 ration bags, and 110,400 mosquito nets have been distributed among the rain/flood affectees in the district. According to the report, the district administration needs 136,774 tents, 127,308 tarpaulins, 470,605 ration bags and 434,349 mosquito nets to distribute among the rain/flood victims
