What's going on in Lake George?

The 11th Annual Lake George Oktoberfest kicks off Friday evening, Oct. 7, with live music, dance, food, beer, wine, carnival rides, games and merchandise vendors. Activities will be centered in and around a large beer garden tent, which will be erected on Canada Street (State Route 9) in front of Shepard Park. Traffic will be detoured to the back streets allowing revelers room to roam.  The festival continues through Sunday, Oct. 9. Admission is free.

Vendors participating in the 2022 Lake George Oktoberfest will be selling clothing, pet accessories, arts and crafts, specialty coffees and artisan foods. In addition to Bavarian food sold in the beer garden, festival attendees may purchase food from participating food trucks including Sammy’s Country Wagon and Alaturco Gyro. Italian ice, kettle corn and other carnival favorites will also be available.

Friday, Oct. 7: 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8: 12-10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9: 12-5 p.m.

Adirondack Pub & Brewery will be serving food and drinks in the beer garden. Note that while some vendors do accept credit cards, food and beer from the beer garden are cash only.

Metered parking ($2 per hour) is available on streets surrounding Shepard Park and in public parking lots. This is a kid-friendly event and there will be rides, bounce houses and children’s activities. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome.
