It's that time of the year when you gather around a campfire and become one with nature. But sometimes a tent in the woods just doesn’t seem appealing.

Glamping (glamorous camping) is like camping but in style. You’re either sleeping in a cabin, a fancy tent or maybe even a tree house, but you’re not exposed to the elements regular campers are.

If that sounds like you're kind of outdoor adventure, there are some glamping spots around Connecticut that fit the bill, ranging from ultra-glam to more modest.

Hidden in the Litchfield Hills, Winvian Farm gives you an ultra-luxe glamping experience.

Winvian Farm's accommodations range from cottages with fireplaces and steam showers, to a treehouse suspended 35 feet above the forest floor. There's a log cabin and Beaver Lodge, “a glamorous take on a rustic-chic trapper’s cabin,” according to a press release.

"One of my favorite and most memorable descriptions of Winvian Farm is that it is 'where Norman Rockwell meets Alice in Wonderland!'" said Maggie Smith, proprietor of Winvian Farm in a press release.

Prices range from $799 - $1,299 per night.

Club Getaway is camp for adults. The 310-acre camp, overlooks a lake in the Berkshire Mountains and is 90 minutes from New York City. You might even run into the Bravo "Camp Getaway" cast, as it was featured on its own reality show in 2020.

Spend the night in “rustic chic” cabins and enjoy meals and drinks included with the registration fee. The camp is also a popular singles destination. As its website says, even if you arrive solo, “you’ll never leave that way.”

"Campers have the opportunity to disconnect from their devices, meet new people and try new activities from ziplining and trapeze, to stand up paddle boarding and water skiing," a press release states.

Price ranges from $499 - $565 per person for a weekend.
